Bad Weather Films is a writing & directing duo consisting of Sam Milman and Peter Vass. At first glance people might think they are the same person but Sam is actually one inch taller at 5’7″ 1/2. They are from the Chicago suburbs and met in a high school TV class where they made Backstreet Boys music videos and laughed at each other’s jokes way too hard.
After moving to Los Angeles they started creating comedy videos and did the only logical thing: throw them all on the internet. Despite not having one make-up tutorial, their videos have amassed over 22 million views and they have grown their YouTube subscribers to over 118k. Upon seeing one of their sketches, Tinder reached out to them and thus began their foray into creating branded content for various companies including Coke, Netflix, TikTok, and T-Mobile.
They wrote and directed their first feature film in 2016, Laid in America, which received distribution from Universal Pictures and the critical praise from both of their parents. Old MacDonald, their horror-comedy short film, was distributed by CryptTV in 2020 but was not seen by their parents because it was too bloody. Their second feature film, a comedy called Bigfoot Famous, was somehow made during the pandemic and is set to release in 2021.
Aside from their directing work, Sam and Peter own and operate Short Cuts, a boutique editing company that specializes in YouTube content. Some of their clients include Trixie Mattel, Whitney Port and Naomi Campbell – whom they creatively produce for as well. sketch comedy youtube channel
